This is an example of an external web application that can be indexed by and added to the Ape Apps Launcher. You may download the source code here and modify the template as needed.

Pay attention to the styling on the page. Launcher applications are opened in a transparent window without browser UI, so if you do not set a background color your app will appear with a default black background.
You can Click Here to see an example of automatically installing a web app to the Launcher via protocol link. The user must have the Ape Apps Launcher PWA or Desktop app installed in order for it to work.
